Polar Wire combines finely stranded annealed copper conductors with an extra-flexible, fire retardant PVC jacket for a multipurpose flexible wire that handles better, reduces installation effort, and performs to the highest standards
Single Conductor Multi Listed Flexible Wire is a Class K flexing service wire made with 30 AWG fine conductor stranding for superior flexibility. Constructed of soft annealed bare copper (NO ALUMINUM!) to ASTM Specification B172. Insulated with an extra-flexible extruded, high dielectric PVC jacket that resists abrasion, oils, acids, heat, flame, and moisture, and performs reliably in severe cold temperatures and high heat conditions.
THHW/TEW/MTW/AWM/BC-5W2/SAE TYPE SGT/CT flexible multipurpose wire holds multiple ratings and certifications:
- Flexible Building Wire – An excellent oil, heat, acid, and moisture resistance Class K Flexing Service Wire constructed with 30 AWG stranding for superior flexibility. Conductors are soft annealed 100% copper with no aluminum, constructed to ASTM Specification B172. Extra-flexible extruded, high dielectric PVC insulation. UL Listed and CSA Certified, constructed to ASTM Specification B172
- Fine Strand Battery Cable – More flexible than standard battery cable even in very cold temperatures. Cables made with Multi-Listed Flexible Wire withstand persistent vibration and flexing for reliability and longevity. Ideal for battery and starter cables, ground cables, and jumper cables. Meets and exceeds SAE standards and marine ratings
- Flexible Welding Cable – 30 AWG Class K fine stranded annealed copper conductors provide excellent conductivity and flexibility, reducing operator fatigue and improving efficiency. The tough, extra-flexible, high dielectric PVC jacket resists abrasion, oils, acids, heat, flame, and moisture, and performs reliably in severe cold temperatures and high heat conditions. Rated for -40°F to 221°F (-40°C to 105°C), meets UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 flame test requirements
- Single Conductor BC-5W2 Marine Boat Cable – BC-5W2 Boat Cable rated for 600 Volts. This flexible wire resists vibration and flexing fatigue, withstands salt water, oil, and fuel exposure, and stays pliable in cold down to -40°F to 221°F (-40°C to 105°C). Its 30 AWG Class K fine 100% copper stranding and highly flexible jacket eases installation in the constricted spaces and tight corners typical of boats. Meets or exceeds ABYC standards
