Polar Wire® Multi Listed Flexible Wire is single conductor Class K flexing service wire built on 30 AWG fine copper stranding for superior flexibility. Soft annealed 100% bare copper (no aluminum, no copper-clad) drawn to ASTM B172, jacketed in an extra-flexible, high-dielectric PVC that resists abrasion, oils, acids, heat, flame, and moisture and performs reliably in severe cold and high heat. Rated 600V, 105°C. Stocked from 8 AWG through 500 MCM in black and red, cut to length by the foot. 1/0 AWG and larger are CT (Cable Tray) approved.
One wire, many ratings. THHW / TEW / MTW / AWM / BC-5W2 / SAE SGT designations let a single construction serve building, battery, welding, and marine duty:
- Flexible Building Wire – UL Listed as THHW and MTW at 600V, CSA Certified TEW, UL Recognized under AWM Styles 1232, 1284, 1338, 1339, and 10269, constructed to ASTM B172.
- Fine Strand Battery Cable – More flexible than standard battery cable even in extreme cold. Withstands persistent vibration and flexing. Meets and exceeds SAE SGT automotive standards and marine ratings.
