WARNING: Use of electrical wiring products can expose you to chemicals, including lead and lead compounds, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and/or reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.
Wire manufactured by Polar Wire Products is constructed with 100% copper conductors and is fully compliant with RoHS standards to be environmentally safe and recyclable.
This warning is provided in an effort to comply with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, known as Proposition 65. The warning does not mean that use of the product will necessarily cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, nor that the product is unsafe. A Proposition 65 warning does not mean that a product is in violation of any product safety standards or requirements.
Proposition 65 applies to any company which operates in California, sells products in California, or manufactures products that may be sold in or brought into California, and requires warnings to accompany any product that contains or may contain any chemical appearing on an annually updated list administered by the State.
This list has grown to include more than 950 naturally occurring and man-made chemicals since it was first published in 1987. Many of the chemicals listed under Proposition 65 have been routinely used in everyday consumer items like thermoplastic elastomer jacketed wire, cables, power cords, plugs and connectors for years without documented harm. On rare occasions, listed chemicals are even "delisted." Click here to view the most up to date list of chemicals
Polar Wire believes that when using the products we manufacture as intended, any potential exposure would be negligible or well within the "no significant risk" safe harbor range. But because listed substances which may be present even in trace amounts can trigger Proposition 65’s warning requirements and invoke steep penalties for failure to comply, while there is no penalty for an unnecessary warning, in an abundance of caution we are electing to provide Proposition 65 warnings.
Information about California's Proposition 65 can be found at oehha.ca.gov/prop65/background/p65plain.html

2 GA 20' JUMPER CABLE 400A SOLID COPPER CLAMPS, HEAVY DUTY
Lost everything I owned, which included some 40+ year old USA jumper cables, in the Oregon Holiday Farm fire. After a bit of a search I found these made in the US cables, really great workmanship and quality cables. Thanks so much for manufacturing a product with the kind of quality I grew up with, made in the USA. I expect them to last another 40+ years, I’ll be passing them down to my boys. Thanks and keep on with the good work, Sonny

Buy once, cry once
I bought these for my husband as a Christmas gift, at the last minute, anticipating they wouldn't make it in time. At 7am on Christmas Eve Day, the mail carrier pulls up and drops a box on the front porch that feels like it has a baby elephant inside (the only reason I know it wasn't an elephant, is because there was no smell). My husband almost gave himself a hernia picking up the wrapped present. He had been boasting that he doesn't need sandbags in his car when the snow and ice comes. That his jumper cables will weigh the car down. Thankfully, we haven't had to use these (yet). Give it time, the day will come. Thanks, Alaska for making such a rugged, heavy, multi-use product. These things are totally worth it!

High quality….. heavy duty .. I imagine they will last long into the future

Seriously Heavy Duty Cables
Used to jump dead minivan battery in 15 -20 degree weather with 4 cyclinder honda as source. As soon as cables were attached, was able to jump right away first try. They work great, probably overkill for regular cars.

2 Gauge Whoa!!
Replaced my garbage CCA cables from a box store and bit the bullet to buy these. To call them heavy duty would be a disservice. They are definitely up to the task for anything that I can throw their way. So buy once cry once you won’t be disappointed. Plus made in the USA by Americans can’t go wrong. Thanks Polar on a superior product.

High Quality
I haven't had a chance to use these, thankfully I haven't needed to. They are very high quality though and look like they will last forever. The bag that came with them is top notch as well. I've purchased other jumper cables in the past and the carry bag they came with, if they came with one, was a cheap plastic case that didn't last. I like that these come with a great case, are solid copper and made in the U.S.A. They are not the cheapest jumper cables on the market, but they are made here in the U.S. and I will never have to buy another set!

2 Gauge 20 foot cables
After going through jumper cables every couple of years and finding out that most cables are only copper coated aluminum I decided to look for something better. I have just received my Polarwire cables and haven't had a chance to use them yet but upon inspection they seem to be very well built, much better than any cables I have purchased locally from any parts store or department store and I feel they will last a long time. Wish I had known about these years ago.

Excellent Product
I highly recommend these cables, the are made exceptionally well and work wonderfully. The only issue, which isn't specifically product related was the that shipping and import charges to Canada where a little higher than I expected. It would be nice to see a Canadian distributor established.

2 GA 20' JUMPER CABLE 400A SOLID COPPER CLAMPS, HEAVY DUTY
Haven't needed to use yet. Really flexible copper wire. Heavy duty clamps with strong springs. These should last a lifetime, and if abused clamps are replaceable/available. Well constructed carry bag. $$$ but if you want cables that work when you need them buy these. Quality!

JUMPER CABLE 2GA 20’ HD
I was concerned that the clamp ends looked flimsy and that the total weight of the cable would be too heavy to be practical. Satisfied on both counts, the copper clamps are really beefy and the cable, while substantial, was not too heavy to be manageable. Really good choice for all around use!
